VRF & Hydronic Systems A Strategic Comparison

Join Kyle Delpiano as he hosts a presentation discussing real-world comparisons between VRF and hydronics systems. VRF presents a new technology to the HVAC design community, and the applications are not one-size-fits-all. Kyle DelPiano of Bell & Gossett will explain the basics of VRF, how it works, how it should be applied and mandatory code requirements.

Kyle DelPiano is the business development manager for Xylem’s Americas Commercial Team. Kyle is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in polymer and fiber engineering with a concentration in mechanics.

Department of Energy - New 2020 Pump Energy Standards

Centrifugal pump efficiency continues to be important in the world of hydronic heating and cooling systems. We will tell you what you need to know now about the Department of Energy Conservation Standards for Pumps, which takes effect in January of 2020. Design engineers need to know how this affects them and their specifications for future work. Also covered is the Hydraulic Institute Centrifugal Pump Energy Rating Program and what pump manufacturers are doing to get in compliance.


Dinner Speaker Bio

Jim Nolan is the North Central Market Development Manager for Bell and Gossett a Xylem Brand. In this role, he is responsible for sales, training, and product support in all levels of the distribution chain. Jim has 23 years of experience in the HVAC and hydronics industry in a variety of roles in sales, product management and as a manufacturers’ rep executive. He studied marketing from Loyola University in Chicago and is an ASHRAE member. His principal areas of interest are energy savings, hydronic systems, training and engineered solutions to solve customer requirements and enhance return on investment.
