Louis A. Trama, age 63, a resident of Royal Oak, Michigan passed away October 16, 2014 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was born November 14, 1950 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to the late Louis and Bruna Trama. Lou was the President and CEO of DiClemente Siegel Design, an engineering and architectural firm in Southfield, Michigan. He led DiClemente Siegel Design for 25 years and had over 40 years of professional experience in a diverse range of project types and market segments. Lou became a registered Professional Engineer in 1976 and was licensed in 12 states. He was very active locally in the Detroit ASHRAE chapter serving as the president from 1984-85. Lou was also involved with a number of other professional organizations including: American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Michigan Society of Professional Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, Tau Beta Pi ? National Engineering Society, National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying, U.S. Green Building Council, and Engineering Society of Detroit. Lou was known for his solid mechanical engineering skills and his wealth of project and management experience. He was most well-known though for his energy and passion that not only provided exceptional results for his clients, but also motivated and inspired his DiClemente Siegel Design team. Lou was known as an unpretentious person who could bring out the best in those who worked with him.
Lou's life passions were for his family, professional excellence and charitable community support. Lou had a passion for the building arts and the arts in general. Lou was an active supporter of many community performing arts initiatives. Lou brought passion to everything he did, yet did so in a humble, modest way that motivated and engaged those who were around him.
